Spinal Renewal

21–23 April 2026
Würzburg, Germany

Reconnect with your spine – release pain, regain trust, and restore harmony and flow in your body after injury, surgery or long-term strain

Are you recovering from an injury or surgery, or feeling that tension, pain and fear of movement are holding you back? Do you experience stiffness or limited mobility in your spine or body?

Learn to move with ease and flow – cultivate a flexible, resilient spine for recovery and lasting health.

Calligraphy Health is a moving meditation method rooted in ancient Chinese wisdom, combining gentle, harmonious movement with breath, focused attention, and internal organ work. This workshop offers practical, safe, and restorative techniques that support spinal recovery, reduce discomfort, and restore natural mobility through fluid movements inspired by Daoist Nei Gong and Qi Gong practices.

The event is supervised by Dr. med. Dipl. Psych. Horst Poimann, neurosurgeon and psychotherapist, who will join both as a participant and as a consultant to the group.

About Master
Zhen Hua Yang

Master Zhen Hua Yang comes from a family with a 400-year tradition of internal energy practices and martial arts. He began training at the age of two under the guidance of his father and grandfather, and later refined his skills with the renowned Buddhist monk Hai Deng – known for his legendary “one-finger stand” – as well as with a highly accomplished Daoist master.

His personal experience of overcoming asthma in childhood through practice became his motivation to help others. For over 30 years, he has shared his knowledge with a diverse range of students – from monks and athletes to artists and business professionals – helping them achieve greater performance through inner balance. He also led special Calligraphy Health courses for the Australian military for four years, supporting soldiers in overcoming trauma and PTSD.

What sets Master Yang apart is his authentic fusion of ancient wisdom with a deep understanding of modern health and life challenges, making his teachings both timeless and highly relevant today.

About Calligraphy Health

“It’s not just about the movement. It’s about what lies beyond it.” – Master Zhen Hua Yang

Calligraphy Health is a moving meditation, where inner peace meets fluid, harmonious body movements. Rooted in ancient Chinese wisdom, this method guides you toward reuniting body and mind through conscious breathing and mindfulness.

Master Yang’s approach values personal experience over theory. Through practice, you discover the wisdom of your own body and a deep connection with yourself.

During the course, you gradually learn a sequence of movements and forms while having the time to explore the principles that extend beyond movement itself. You practice without pressure, at your own pace, maintaining a balance between learning and rest.

By the end of the course, you will have developed your own practice—one that you can freely continue and integrate into your daily life.

How is Calligraphy Health different from other practices?

Moving Meditation

Fluid, gentle, and natural movements aligned with the body’s energy channels, Meridians, in a meditative state, harmonizing both body and mind.

Internal organ servicing

The movements engage the body’s center, acting as a gentle self-visceral massage that naturally enhances internal organ function.

Increase your energy levels

Stimulating the body’s energy channels while engaging the Dantian (energy center) cultivates and stores vital energy, promoting sustained vitality and reduced fatigue.

Works on multiple levels

This practice simultaneously engages the body, mind, and energy by harmonizing the digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems.

Improved sleep

By calming the nervous system, this practice enhances sleep quality, leading to improved nighttime recovery.

Accessible to everyone

It’s suitable for all ages, gender and levels of physical ability, including seated positions.
